The new agreement offers an opportunity for institutions to build capacity, training and research cooperation, and will benefit young scientists not only in India and Japan, but also in UNESCO member states in the Asia-Pacific and SAARC regions. With the current initiative, the RCB, an institution that deals with large-scale multidisciplinary education and training, education and research, is ready to broaden its horizons and facilitate the transition of science and knowledge dissemination to improve humanity. This MoA will enable RCB and AIST to jointly organize advanced research training in the field of bioimaging and biotechnology, including in vivo and in vitro imaging, cryo-electronic-microscopy crystallography and other technologies. The main features of the agreement are: the creation of a DBT-AIST International Laboratory for Advanced Bio-imaging (DAILAB) at rcB and the facilitation of joint cooperation involving Indian and Japanese scientists, as well as assistance to Indian researchers selected for training in specialized fields of bio-imaging and biotechnology at AIST and other laboratories outside AIST. The salary for the positions of the program manager / Sr. Program Manager is between 60,000/and Rs. 1.00,000/- (Consolidated) and salary for the positions of the Program Officer / Sr. Program Officer and Policy Analyst / Sr. Policy Analyst are between Rule 42,000/and Rule 80,000/- (Consolidated) and the salary for the IT assistant position will be between 30,000 and Rs. 40,000/- (consolidated). Salary is determined on the basis of qualifications, experience and suitability for employment, as recommended by the selection committee. Higher pay may be considered for candidates with higher qualifications and work experience.
